Virginia
Rao lives in
Long Island, New York.
In
addition to being a very talented vocalist
and
songwriter, she plays bass and keyboard,
and
has fronted several bands in the NY area.
Virginia,
whose musical style is best described
as
adult contemporary, came down to Nashville
in
the Spring of 2006 to cut her first song with
Wild
Oats Records -- you can hear a clip of that
song,
a fine Rao original called "Coming Home",
by
clicking on the link below -- and has since
returned
to record nine additional songs. (All
10
can be heard on Virginia's excellent new CD,
titled
simply Virginia Rao.
(And while in town
on
one of her visits, she also completed a cool
video
with our Oat Video team.)
